Jalen CollinsThe Atlanta Falcons announced Sunday that former LSU cornerback Jalen Collins has been suspended 10 games for violating the NFL’s performance enhancing substances policy.

“We are extremely disappointed that for the second straight season we are dealing with a suspension for Jalen. Such are the consequences when certain choices are made. Our decisions going forward will be based on what (Falcons coach Dan Quinn) and I feel is best for the team,” Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff said in a statement.

The 24-year old Collins was previously suspended for performance enhancing substance policy violation before the 2016 season, missing the first four Falcons games.

Atlanta selected the Olive Branch, Miss. product in the second round (42nd overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft.

The Falcons do not play the Saints until weeks 14 and 16 of the season in December, after Collins suspension ends.
