Crescent City Sports will feature a live stream of the final round of the Catholic League wrestling tournament Saturday at Holy Cross.

Coverage on CrescentCitySports.com will begin just prior to the start of the finals at noon, with Ken Trahan of CCS and Jim Ravannack, past President of USA Wrestling and the longtime director of the LHSAA state wrestling championships, describing the action.

Despite its great tradition of prep wrestling programs, this is the first time in many years that the Catholic League is holding a district tournament. All six league schools with wrestling programs – Brother Martin, Holy Cross, Jesuit, John Curtis, Archbishop Rummel and Archbishop Shaw – will participate in the event.

Brother Martin, Holy Cross and Jesuit are currently ranked Nos. 1-3, respectively, in Louisiana’s highest wrestling classification, Division I. The meet will serve as a final tuneup for all six teams prior to the state championships Feb. 16-17 in Bossier City.

Campo Better Living is the presenting sponsor of Saturday’s webcast.

Crescent City Sports will feature live streaming of no fewer than 30 high school sporting events throughout the 2017-18 school year.
